General Hours: M/T/TH/F - 1:45 pm-5:30 pm; W - 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Site hours may vary
Intersessions (To include Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter)
General Hours: M-F, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
Position hours may vary by site
AM Position: 6:00 am – 12:30 pm
PM Position: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

GENERAL FUNCTION
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Special Needs Aide works directly with the Site Coordinator and Youth Program Director to assist with the physical and instructional needs of one student with special needs, with their participation in activities and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1
year or more of experience working with school age children in a group
setting with documented evidence of education, training and experiences preferred.
- TB test required.
- Able to complete mandatory paid specialized training.
- Able to complete mandatory paid training.
- Interest in caring for children
- Positive and people oriented.
- Able to complete CPR/First Aid certification.
