Special Needs Aide

| Salary Range: | Special Needs Aide 1: $14.50/hour Special Needs Aide 2: $16.00/hour |
| Status: | Part Time/Non-Exempt |
GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the supervision of your Site Director and Youth Program Director, assist with the physical and instructional needs of one student with special needs, with their participation in activities and programs.
Special Needs Aide 1: $12.50/hour
Assigned to one student with high-functioning special needs. Specialized training provided.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Entry Level: No prior work experience required.
- TB test required.
- Able to complete mandatory paid specialized training.
- TB test required.
- Able to complete mandatory paid training.
- Interest in caring for children
- Positive and people oriented.
Preferred:
- Completion of some college and/or post high school training.
- CPR/First Aid Certified.
Special Needs Aide 2: $15.00/hour
Assigned to one student with low-functioning special needs. Specialized training provided.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year or more of experience working with school age children in a group setting with documented evidence of education, training and experiences required.
- TB test required.
- Able to complete mandatory paid specialized training.
- Interest in caring for children.
- Positive and people oriented.
Preferred:
- Completion of some college and/or post high school training.
- Prior work experience with children with special needs.
