Bus Driver

| Salary Range: | $17.50/hour |
| Status: | Part-time/Non-Exempt |
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Support Staff must have a thorough understanding of the YMCA’s mission and goals and the ability to use critical thinking to develop plans and solutions.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 21 or older
- Current Driver License with at least 3 years of driving experience
- CPR/AED and First Aid required
- TB test required
- Drug test required random after the first test
- Clear drivers history (Copy of record)
- Pass the YMCA bus certification class, DOT class, and physical test
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Drive 14-passenger busses for participant pick up and drop off as well as field trips.
- Work as a team to develop transportation plans that ensure all participants are picked up and dropped
- off on time while being mindful of gas usage and staffing needs.
- Make sure all relevant paperwork is completed and filed for all off site trips.
- Make sure that all off site trips take all required equipment and supplies with them.
Child Development:
- Be a role model for & develop positive meaningful relationships with youth.
- Be aware of health and safety concerns.
- Ensure we create an environment that is a positive and memorable experience instilling a strong desire
- for the participants to want to go to return to program.
- Attend staff trainings and meetings.
